Happy 4th Birthday to The Nerdd!

Four years ago this Wednesday, I wrote my first article for this website!

Since then, we’ve written a total 378 articles (this is #379), for a total of 390,183 words (not including this article).

When I say we, I mean myself, my wife Chanel, and several other authors that have written articles for us.

  • Jon Lauer
  • Chaz McDonald
  • Jessica Marie Nichols
  • The Brown Messiah
  • Scott Krammer
  • Mark Woodring
  • Tyler Jones
  • BoardGamesBlogger.com

We’ve had 51,803 visitors, with a total of 69,433 views from those visitors.

Our single most popular day was May 4th of this year, for May The Fourth, National Star Wars Day, which seems very fitting.

As it was the past year, our single most popular article is Pop Culture Heroes as D&D Characters, which is quickly being caught up by another Dungeons & Dragons article, 11 Steps for Building a Homebrew World for D&D.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, both of our podcasts have ended, and we are not currently producing audio content. Our shows were either an interview show, which required in-person guests, or was a group of people getting together to play games, which isn’t very safe at the moment. However, we do have plans in the pipeline regarding some video content that we are excited to explore.

Not only that, but also The Nerdd has moved recently! Last year, we were based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, but now we are outside Orlando, Florida, and are excited to see what conventions are in the area here. If there’s something you think we should check out, let us know!

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter (@SeanTheNerdd), or subscribe by putting your email address below if you haven’t already. We currently have 258 people who get notified when a new article goes up, and you can get some fun conversations about fun topics in your inbox every week.

Of course, the biggest way you could help support the site, is by becoming a patron on Patreon. The lowest tier is only $1/month, which would mean the world to us. We have lots of plans in the future for the growth of this site, and we are excited to show you what we have in mind.

If you want to be a volunteer writer for The Nerdd, feel free to reach out at TheNerdd.Sean@Gmail.com.

Whatever nerdy topic you want to talk about, or if you are interested in becoming a writer, come talk to me, and we can find a place for you on the team. We’ve had authors and editors in the past, and are very happy to include you in whatever way would make you most excited.

We are so excited to see what the next year brings, and we appreciate everyone who reads, because without you, I’m just shouting into the void.
