Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!

Bill Nye: the science guy, the legend, the… savior of the world?

Since 1993, Bill Nye has been a staple to the average American classroom. From his quirky science lab demonstrations, to his ridiculously catchy theme song (seriously…we dare you not to start chanting), Bill Nye has solidified that he is absolutely the savior of the science classroom. It’s been 24 years since the original Bill Nye the Science Guy series was televised, and though he’s never truly left us, Bill Nye the Science Guy is back, and he’s here to save the world.

So, You Wanna Netflix and Bill?

In 2016, Netflix revealed that they had partnered with Bill Nye to create a brand new original series titled Bill Nye Saves the World, set to debut in April of 2017. Now that April is finally here, we’ve caught a glimpse into the fantastic adventures that Bill has in store.

Armed with a brand new theme song produced by Tyler the Creator, it is immediately evident that this is an attempt at an edgier, flashier Bill Nye, intent on reaching out and galvanizing the millennial generation he inspired nearly 25 years ago.

*CUE THE MUSIC!*

The theme song isn’t the only new fixture to Bill Nye Saves the World. Bill will not be embarking on these scientific adventures on his own, rather, he has employed a diverse team including supermodel Karlie Kloss, filmmaker Derek Muller, comedian Nadeem Hussain, professional speaker and host Emily Calandrelli and a handful of celebrity guests. Together, they will cover topics such as climate change, alternative medicine, video games, and the unstable relationship between science and politics.
