Nashville RPG Community

If you’ve found this page, it’s probably because you are in Nashville, and are interested in playing a game of D&D!

Right now, we have two different games running at two different locations.

We have a Discord we are using for this community here.

Game Point Cafe

The Game Point Cafe in 5 Points in East Nashville has a game designed for beginners! If you’ve never played D&D, or haven’t played in a while, this is the game for you! You don’t need to bring anything with you but an open mind.

Alternatively, if you have played D&D, but want to have a friend try a game out, you are welcome to come along as well. We will have PreGenerated characters of different complexities, so your friend can learn what a d20 is, but you can play a Monk balancing your Ki Points.

This game is also family friendly! There are simplified characters for younger players. However, we are not a babysitter, so if you have a child under 16, we ask that the parent/guardian either join in on the fun, or sit nearby enjoying their evening, but actively aware of their child’s behavior.

The game is free to play, but we would like to remind you that the cafe is still a business, and purchasing food and/or beverage from the cafe is required.

Honeytree Meadery

The game at Honeytree Meadery, also in East Nashville near 5 Points, is a game for experienced players. You don’t need to be an expert, but we ask you know what a Dexterity Saving Throw is before you join us here.

In this game you will be a member of the Honey Badger Guild, an adventurer’s guild that takes odd jobs for odd people. There will be rewards within the Guild for people who return to multiple games. These rewards will be in lieu of leveling up your character.

The game is free to play, but we would like to remind you that the cafe is still a business, and purchasing food and/or beverage from the cafe is required.

If you’d like to join this game, you are welcome to create your own character, or we will have some PreGens available for you.

Character Creation Rules

If you’d like to create your own, these are the rules.

  • Your character is Level 5. Multiclassing is allowed, but only if you are confident in how the class features interact.
  • You can use character options from the 5e Player’s Handbook + One other 5e rulebook of your choice.
  • Your stats will be determined by Standard Array.

We will not be double checking your work, but if your character is deemed “broken” or otherwise obstructive to the game, the DM reserves the right to give you a PreGen to play instead. If you do not understand how your character’s abilities work, we will request you find a simpler character.
